Once Again,Early Christmas Craft
This week, I'm going to be very busy and might not be able update this blog. So I'm posting this Christmas craft now! Today's is how to make no-sew stockings!
You'll need
You'll need
- Christmas or red paper
- Scissors
- A stapler
- A stocking print out( I'll post one tomorrow morning if I can)
- A pencil
- Write your doll's name on it in a fancy or regular font.
- Put stickers on it to match your doll's hobbies or favorite activities.
- Try making them in different colors, shapes, or sizes.
- Add a light-weight fringe such as ribbon or cut the top into lots of little lines without cutting off the bottom.
Extra Christmas Craft
_Though I haven't told you guys yet, I am a Catholic. :-) As a Catholic, I
celebrate Advent, the season to prepare for Christmas. You may see
Advent calenders in stores and maybe even use them just to count down
the days! (They are thin boxes with small doors and tiny compartments
inside. They usually have chocolates or other small treats inside.) But
here is how to make one for your dolls!
You'll need:
First, you'll need to trace lines on your cardboard measuring 2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. Then cut it out. Use this as a stencil and trace it on to your Christmas paper or construction paper and white paper. Then, glue the white paper down. This advent calendar is only going to have 4 doors, one for each Sunday in December. To make the doors, use the Christmas paper or construction paper. First you'll need to fold the paper in half. Then take each half and fold it in to the middle crease. This should create four little sections. Then, bend an area in half and take the scissors and cut a small slit. Then unfold it and slip the scissors through the slit and make a box without the left edge. Then repeat with all 4 sections. To attach it to the rest of the calendar, put glue around the edges of the big rectangle. Once it dries, take your pen and write a 1,2,3, and 4 on the outside of the box. The numbers don't have to be in order. Inside the box, draw a star, heart, tree or any other symbols. I hope that your dolls enjoy!

Early Christmas Craft No. 2
If you read my "Candy Cane Craft" post, you heard about my idea. This week I'm doing it a week early. It's because I'm so excited! Now ready to make a cake mix for your doll?
You'll need
First you'll need to cover the box in duct tape using strips and bending over extras. Then place the sticker on the front of the box, in the middle, but a tad bit closer to the bottom. Lastly, write one of these sayings above the cake. "Cake Mix", "Yummy Cake", "Holiday Mix" And you're done! I hope that your dolls can make a lovely holiday treat using this!
You'll need
- A small box (I used a mini raisin box, I also believe that you could make a box by tracing an eraser, and making a cover for it)
- White, brown, or polka dotted duct tape (I also have some cute reindeer tape, so if you had something like that it would work too)
- A sharpie
- Scissors
- A cake sticker (such as the one from doll crafts) or a mini cake print-out and glue

Thanksgiving Prep Craft 1
_Hey everyone! Because there are only a few more days until Thanksgiving,
I decided that I'd post a craft everyday 'til. Today's craft is how to
make a cute doll sized leaf. I think that they're great to tape onto the
back of chairs at a table or under a plate. You could also write names
on them as place cards. But here is how you do it.
You'll need
First you'll need to print out the leaf. Cut it out about 4 centimeters around the edge.Trace the leaf onto the construction paper. Cut out the construction paper. Cut an inch thick strip of construction paper. Then, fold the strip like a mini fan. Glue one of the edges to the construction paper leaf. If you want, now is when you write a name on the leaf. Cut off the extra white paper. Glue the other part of the fan to the back of the leaf. Now you have a pop-up leaf! You could duplicate them for each doll if you'd like. Now you can tape them to the back of doll chairs. Happy Thanksgiving!
You'll need
- the print out
- Scissors
- yellow/orange construction paper
- other color marker (if you used yellow construction paper, you should use an orange marker)
- glue
- optional, black marker to write names
- optional, tape

HALLOWEEN COSTUME NO. 2
Here is my second Halloween costume!!! This is how to make an '80's girl!!! It works great!!! It's what McKenna is being this year!!!!!
You'll need
First dress your doll in her shirt and her tights, socks, leggings, or leg warmers. Then layer her shorts or skirt on top. Now,put on her shoes.(If you use tights or socks, carefully put the shoes on over them) Now for the hair. For dolls with long hair, (excluding Julie or any other doll who's hair doesn't go into high ponytails or to the side) brush it out and gather it into a high side ponytail. If you'd like, you could braid a small section of the ponytail by tying most of the hair off, leaving a small enough strand about the size to make a braid like Julie's. Braid it and then slip it in the ponytail holder WITHOUT tying off the bottom. If you don't want to add the braid, just tie it off. Then add the bows in random places on your doll's head. If your doll has short hair, take the front piece and pull it up. Tie it off with the ponytail holder. Then add the bows around the ponytail holder.
I hope your doll likes her new Halloween costume!!! I know that McKenna is very happy with hers!
You'll need
- Any color long sleeve doll shirt
- Any color shorts/skirt
- Any color tights, socks, leggings, or leg warmers (such as the ones in the new roller skating outfit)
- Any type of sandals or flip flops (I find that if you are using tights or socks you should use sandals with an open ending and no toe spot such as Julie's meet shoes or ones from her patchwork outfit)
- A hair tie
- 3+ bows of mismatched colors and styles (They can be some of your bows, they don't have to be doll sized)
- A doll brush

Halloween Costume No. 1
Now that it's October, I am going to start posting Halloween costume instructions. This first one is going to be how to make a diva/movie star.
You'll need
A knee-high sparkly sock or an old pair of sparkly leggings
Scissors
Ribbon
Glue Stick/Velcro sticky things
Wet glue
First, cut off the foot of the sock or the knee down on your legging. Then, snip the sides of the dress in spots for your doll's arms (or you could just cut it shorter and use wet glue to make a ribbon halter). Then take the ribbon and make a belt. Attach it to the dress with wet glue. Slip it over your doll's head. Last, make bracelets by using a glue stick to close ribbon around your doll's wrist. If you do that, they must be cut to be removed. If you use Velcro, make sure to cut it to fit on the ribbon. Also, you can scroll down and use the instructions for a trophy to make an Emmy Award.

Trophy Craft
I thought that my McKenna doll needed a gymnastics trophy, so I am going to make
one. If your dolls play any sports or do an activity that a trophy should be
given to them for, you might want to make one for them!!! :-)
You'll
need
First, trace the water bottle 2 times onto the darker
piece of craft foam. Glue together. You won't need much glue. Then measure half
a cm. of the toothpick, keeping the tip, but not counting it while measuring.
Cut off the section. Poke the toothpick into the craft foam circle. If needed,
put a dot of glue in. Then draw a star about the size of your palm on the other
color of craft foam. (It's alright if there are lines through it. They won't
show.) Cut it out. Trace that star on the same color. Cut that out. Line them
up. Take the base and put the toothpick against one star. (make sure that the
lines face in) Glue in place. Drizzle the other star with glue and press up to
the other star and toothpick. Hold together for 30 seconds. Lay down and let dry
for 1 hour. Then put on your sticker or print-out. If you want, you can write
your doll's name on the front part of the base.
I hope that you doll
treasures her trophy!!! McKenna did!!!!
