Arya!!!
Recently, I have developed a major desire for My American Girl #60. I decided that I will be asking to get her for Christmas and name her Arya Montana Blaise. I have her story copied down below.
Arya
*Cough* *Cough* I could hear myself chocking on my inhaler. The strong medicine always tasted horrible.
"Arya, are you alright? You don't sound the greatest," said my mom. She always gets really worried when I cough because she is afraid that I am reacting to something.
"Mom, I am fine. I just brought a little bit too much air in at once," I told her.
"Okay. Now let's get you into bed," she said, clasping my hand in hers.
When I woke up, I wasn't in my bed. I couldn't tell where I was exactly, but there weren't many people, just my mom and my great aunt.
"Mom, where are we?" I attempted to ask, but my voice was muffled by and oxygen machine.
"Arya, do you remember what happened last night?" my mom asked me. I shook my head no.
" Lightning struck the house last night and it made such a loud noise that your heart began to race and you began to breath really fast. I went to go check on you, and I saw that you were just barely breathing. I called 911, and they quickly brought you to this hospital. Now we are waiting for the all clear to go home," my mom told me in a quiet voice.
I sat up and took off the oxygen mask. I looked around the room, bare, dull, boring room.
" Dear, are you hungry? It's past you typical breakfast time," said Great Aunt Margot with her thick French accent.
" I am quite hungry. Could we go home to eat?" I replied. I really wanted to to leave this place.
"Arya, we need the all clear from the doctor first. He told my that he wants to check your vitals while you are awake, then we can go," my mom told me.
Slowly, the creaky door opened and the doctor walked.
The doctor greeted, "Good morning, Arya! Happy to see you awake!" Then he came over and checked my vitals and asked me how I was feeling.
"I am good," I told him. "I feel quite normal." I was truly hoping that I could persuade him to let me go home.
"Arya, you have known that you have issues breathing when you ingest dairy or gluten, but we just concluded that stress can cause you problems too. I told your mom a couple of products that might help you, but I want you to take it easy for a while. Try to stay away from playing sports and watching stress television. You have the all clear from me to go now," the doctor said.
I quickly put on my clothes, socks, an shoes and stood up. I couldn't wait to go home and make some tasty pancakes on my griddle that Mom got me last year.
"Arya, Great Aunt Margot wants to stay with us
today. Are you up for that?" my mom asked me. I am always up for Great Aunt Margot because she helps me make new types of soy parfaits!
Two streets before our neighborhood, my mom turned into the mall.
"Mom, why are you turning into the mall?" I asked, stunned that Mom would choose now as a good time to go to the mall.
"Arya, the doctor suggested some anti-stress lotion and hand sanitizer from the local body shop. He said the more you use it, the less likely you will be to have a reaction. He said that we should get the products as fast as we can," Mom explained. "I think that he said that the store sells many different color cases for the products!"
Great, just great. More things to haul around with me EVERYWHERE and get asked what it is every two minutes. Does my mom not know that my backpack weighs seven and a half pounds? I have to carry that with me all around everywhere! Why do I have to get more stuff!
"Mom, I don't really want to have to carry around more stuff. Do I really have to get it?" I asked Mom.
"Arya, it weighs nothing, and the doctor said that it will really help you. You don't want to have to go to the hospital again, do you?" answered Mom. I sighed.
" Okay," I stated wig a sad face. No matter how much it weighed, it still was a bother. I have to take my inhaler 12 times a day periodically, have 2 shots on a normal day(I have to have special shots on days that I go to different altitudes), and I have VERY strict diet that I have to stay on unless I want to die of not breathing. This diet is so crazy that I have to have my friend's parents fill out a permission slip before I eat. This diet makes it so that can't have ANY dairy or gluten, and a bunch of other random foods such as rutabaga and any type of corn. Now I have to apply special lotion and hand sanitizer constantly.
When we got home from he mall, I immediately went over to get out the ingredients for a soy berry parfait, Great Aunt Margot's specialty.
"Arya, what are you making?" asked my great aunt.
"I am making breakfast, a soy berry parfait. Would you like one?" I asked, knowing the answer.
"May I please help you make the parfaits?" she asked. I beamed. One me going to the hospital resulted in one good thing.
"Yes please! I would love that!" I replied as we began to chop up some almonds. I love cooking with Great Aunt Margot.
After we finished breakfast, my mom said for me to show her how I planned on adding the lotion an hand sanitizer to my routine, so I showed her. Mom does this a lot.
I started with my inhaler. The long breaths made me choke just a little. Next, I take a shot that opens my throat so that I don't easily have a reaction for little reason. Those pinch a bit, but I am kind of used to it. Then I decided to rub the lotion on my hands and smell them. The lotion smells sweet, and I calming, but I am slightly embarrassed to be constantly using lotion. Lastly, I write down in my notebook that I did it an what time it is and the date. That part is a real pain.
The next day, I woke up and began to get dressed for school. I did my daily routine, including my inhaler and shots. Then I went downstairs to eat my breakfast, a soy berry parfait that I made yesterday with Great Aunt Margot. Next I grab my lunch and backpack and get in the car to drive to school.
"Arya, can I have your notebook, please? The doctor at the hospital asked me to check over it and make sure that you are taking your taking your inhaler everyday. I'll give you this one for today only," said Mom in the car.
"Sure! Why do you need to check to see if I am doing it? Can't you trust that I do?" I told my mom.
"The doctor said that I should make sure that you have good habits now that anytime you get stressed or scared there is a chance that you could stop breathing. It is for my peace of mind and the doctor's, not anything about not trusting you," she replied.
I sighed a sigh of relief. I am very happy that my mom trusts me.
As I slid out of the car, I was delighted to see my best friend, Holly, standing in front of me. Joyfully I ran up to her and told her the whole story about the lightning, going to the hospital, and adding another step to my inhaler routine.
"Oh my! That sounds like an interesting, yet scary, weekend. It stinks that you have to add lotion and hand sanitizer to your routine. I know that it will be ok, though," Holly said, doing her best to comfort me. Holly is always there when you need her.
"So, Holly, what did you do this weekend?" I asked her, trying to keep the conversation off of me.
"It was great! I won my volleyball game because of my serves! I had all 15 serves in the 3rd game, and I broke the tie! You should have seen me!" Holly exclaimed with a smile on her face. I was really dreading having to tell her that I couldn't attend her volleyball games anymore now that I have an issue with stress.
"Holly, there is one more issue with me having stress issues. I need to stay away from stressful things, including competitive sports," I told her with my head dropping lower towards the ground with every word.
"It's okay, Arya. Don't feel ashamed. You shouldn't be embarrass about your allergies," said Holly, holding back tears. Volleyball is Holly's life, and she is always super pleased that I come to support her when she plays games after school. I can't believe I have to do this to her.
"I am so sorry. Maybe I could come to your practices?" I suggested, trying to cheer her up.
"I don't think that you could come to my practices. My coach always yells in an angry voice. It you weren't paying attention, you could be startled and stop breathing. I wouldn't want that," Holly said. I knew then that I had to do something to support her. She always come over to try my new food dishes, and waits for me to do my inhaler before she starts eating. How could I be there for her if I can't be there?
When I got home from school, I quickly got out a piece of lined paper and a pen. I needed to brainstorm about what I could do to support Holly and her volleyball. Perhaps I could bake cookies for her team in the shape of a volleyball? But if I did that, then I would never know if they taste good because I couldn't try them. Maybe I could make app and be like the 'team person' and put a calendar and a highlights page? The problem with that is I wouldn't be able to see the games for pictures, and I am pretty bad at navigating a computer. Possibly I could make fruit smoothies for everyone on the team and pass them out after the game. That's it! I can try what I make, and I can support Holly's team without stressing me out!
The next day at school, Holly was avoiding me a little. I don't think that it is because she doesn't like me, I think that she just doesn't know what to talk about. I decide that I will go up to her.
"Holly! When is your next game? My mom said that I could bring smoothies at the end!" I told her, really excited.
"My game is tomorrow! I am so happy that you can bring your tasty smoothies! You're really good at making them, and I know that we're going to play great to them! Thank you so much!!!" Holly replied with a hug immediately after. So maybe it isn't too bad not being able to go to the games. It won't snap our friendship in half.
The next day after school, I quickly got to work on making the smoothies. I needed eight for them, plus on for me to try, so nine. I got out my nifty, one-at-a-time blender and began to place some chopped strawberries, sliced banana, and puréed raspberries inside. Then I put on the lid and turned it on. Shashashasha. The blender made its loud racket, then it stopped. One great thing about a single serving Fruity Time blender is that it stops when it is ready.
I poured it into my glass and took a sip. Ummmm! That is a tasty smoothie. The volleyball team will love them!
By the time I finished all of the smoothies, it was time to deliver the smoothies. When I arrived they were in the final minutes. The score was 13 to 14 and Holly's team was winning.
One of the rules that I learned about volleyball is that you have to win by two, so unless Holly' team scores this play, the game will continue to go on. But Holly is serving, and she is by far the best server ever who is only 11. One of her coaches said that there is a good chance that she could be an Olympic volleyball server if she keeps up the good work.
All at once, she jumps up, throws the ball, and smacks it down hard. It flies over the net, and is nearly touching the ground when a girl's dig boosts it up. The setter then pushes it into the air, making it the perfect set for a smack way to the back row, right to Holly. Holly stops the hard hit with her arms, and it pushes the ball up, but Holly goes down on the ground, landing on her wrist. The whole crowd gasps. You can hear the loud snap of her wrist.
I begin to freak out I immediately sit down and take my inhaler. I can already feel myself chocking up. The players on Holly's team hit it over and win, but there is no celebration. The very second that the referee blows the whistle, Holly's mom runs onto the court. I run in as well.
"Holly? Can you hear me? Holly! Holly!" her mom cries. Holly has passed out, and her wrist is bent in weird directions. No doubt in my mind, Holly broke her wrist.
"Holly, your wrist is broken. No volleyball or sports for at least five months," said the doctor as Holly wakes up in shock. Holly grabs her wrist and looks down. She obviously doesn't remember what happened.
"Holly, I saved you your smoothie. Do you want it?" I asked her after the doctor walks out.
"I'll take it. I can't believe that I broke my wrist. Now I don't have ANY chance at becoming an Olympic volleyball server. My life is ruined," she said. It was extremely obvious that she was stunned and let down.
"Holly, you know your hit won the game, right. You still have a chance at the Olympics, you just can't let this stop you. I don't let my allergies stop me from cooking. I still cook, even though I have to make my own recipes. I don't let it stop me when people tell me that no one wants to eat food that is gluten, dairy, potato, tomato, rutabaga, and corn free. You shouldn't stop. We'll work together and stretch it. I will personally make sure that you have lots of water, nutritious food, and lots of rest. We'll get you all healed up and back to practice in no time," I say hoping to inspire Holly.
"Arya, you're right. I won't give up. I'll heal this wrist up and play again. Together through this?" Holly said, holding out her pinky. I squeeze my pinky around hers.
"Through this together!" I say with a nod. Holly reaches up to hug me, but her wrist hurts too much to move.
After I called my mom and told her that I would be with Holly, I went home with them. Holly had her wrist it a cast, and her wrist was resting in a sling. I had already signed the cast in 7 different places.
When we got home, I helped Holly into her bed. Then I went downstairs to get some stuff. I am always here, so I know where everything is. I grabbed a big pink and white tray and began my search. I put a water bottle, plate of fruit, pillow, and some hot tea on the tray.
Then I went into the homework room. I grabbed a light pink index card and folded it in half. I wrote Holly on the front in swirly red letters and drew a heart. Then I opened it up and wrote,
Dear Holly,
I hope that you get well soon!!!
From,
Arya
I put the card on the tray and brought it upstairs to Holly.
"Holly, I brought you some goodies!" I said with a smile as I set the tray on her legs and pulled out the legs so that it stood up like a table. "The pillow is for your arm," I told her.
"Thanks. This really won't be that bad. I know that we'll do this together!" she said with a smile. We will make it through this together!

Halloween Costume No. 3
Last year, I gave instructions on how to make doll Halloween costumes. I am doing that again this year, and I hope you like them! Today's is a nerd.
You'll need:
A long sleeve tee shirt for dolls
Shorts or pants that ARE NOT jeans that don't match the shirt
Ribbon
Cloth hair ties
Tape
OPTIONAL: Glasses
(Just as a heads up, you can buy all of this stuff at Michaels.)
How to:
Dress your doll in the shirt and shorts. Tuck the shirt into the pants. Then measure how much ribbon you would need to tuck it into her pants and go over her shoulder to her mid-back. Cut two stings of ribbon that length. Then cut ribbon to go from her mid back to the back of her pants. Tape the two long strings or ribbon to the inside of her pants. Then go over her shoulders and tape the ribbon to the other string. Tape the third string to the inside of her pants to make suspenders. To add to the look, tie ribbon to some hair ties and put her hair in to crooked pigtails. Then, If you have them put on the glasses and admire your little nerd!

Fixer Upper Post No. 2- Cleaning Skin
Many people can't afford $110 for a doll. On eBay, used dolls are sold for around $40. Many of them have some sort issues. I have had my dolls for a long time and many things that are wrong with eBay dolls, I have conquered. I decided to do this post series so more girls can afford American Girl Dolls. If you buy them off eBay and then fix them up, the price is about the same as buying a knock-off American Girl dolls.
This post is about how to remove stains on an American Girl Doll. You don't really need to buy an expensive kit like the one shown to your right, all you have to do is use simple cleaning wipes and rub the stain until it comes off. Some stains won't come off, but the majority will. I have used this technique on every single one of my dolls.

In my last post, I told you that there was a new section, "Seasons". Well, here is where you can get more information. The page is all about the current season, and things that relate to the season that are American Girl. I do my best to update it, and it include many cool things. I would really like if you read the page, and comment on it. Every post for the season will have it's own area for commenting, so it's too easy not to do. You can use the link up above or right below to get there, so hurry along and check it out!
Most Summer-ish Outfit
Below is a poll that you can vote on to decide the most summer-ish outfit. Then, the winning outfit will be featured in my new section, "Seasons"!
I updated the profiles!!!

How to make a Doll Hospital!
Below, I posted an awesome craft book that I wrote. To make a hospital, try doing those crafts, and if you would like, you can print the book and create a cover. I'd also recommend getting the feel better kit from American Girl. It is amazing quality. If you want an exam table, use a cardboard box. You can also make paper goodies.

This post is about dolls that are on a discount site whose hair has already been cut. I do not recommend cutting hair, but this makes already cut hair straight. All you really need to do is ask an adult to trim off uneven edges. If the doll's hair is really bad, you might need to decide a place a little higher up then the doll's hair place where it is uneven. Cut it there if necessary. This is what was need to be done on Josefina. The picture is gardengrovecottage's from

Happy Valentine's Day Craft
Hey everyone! It is officially February and I wanted to start off the month by posting a Valentine's Day craft. Here are the instructions!!!!!
You'll need:
First you need to fold your paper in half. Next, cut a half of a heart on the creased side. Write a special note with your pen or marker on it. Lastly, you can add decoration by drawing on it, fringing the edges, or ting a ribbon to the top.

Saige goes COWGIRL!!!!!!
Everyone, I wasn't able to take pictures but here is where you can get to know the cowgirl side to Saige.
What is your favorite thing to wear?
"I love wearing anything that's cowgirl style, such as boots, jeans, and bulky belts."
Do you know any tricks with a lasso?
"Lots. Once I even lassoed Josefina's chicken, Hoppy."
When you are out on the ranch, how do you wear your hair?
"I usually have pigtails to keep my hair out of my face."
That's all for now. If you have a question for cowgirl Saige, just write in Comments+Josefina's Posts. I hope you had a purdy good time!

Saige's Adorable Outfit!!!!
I put Saige in a cute outfit, and I just had to share it with you guys! Here are some pictures.
I hope that you liked them!!!!!
Doll Play Ways with a pet!!!!!!
Here is a list of fun things to do with your American Girl Doll and her pet!!!!!
Enjoy time with your pets!!!!
- Take a dog for a walk. To make a leash, just tie a piece of ribbon to the dog's collar. Make a ribbon collar if your dog doesn't have one already.
- Brush it's fur. This works on cats, dogs, bunnies, goats, llamas, and sheep. Every pet could use a brushing! Use your doll bed to give your pet a new 'do!
- Give a pet a toy. Bouncy balls work for dogs and cats, and mini jawbreaker candies work for smaller animals.
- Give your pet a bath. Right now at Target, they have bath tub shaped containers in the dollar section the perfect size for washing pets. Make sure that your doll or pet doesn't really get wet!!!
- Feed them. Use a bottle cap for a dish for your pet's food. Craft foam shapes make great food!!!!
Enjoy time with your pets!!!!
Status Saturday Update!!!!
I've decided that I don't really want to do a "Status Saturday" anymore. Instead, I will do a "Would You Rather Wednesday". It will be where I give a list of ten things each paired up with each other. You will answer (either to your self or in the "Comments+ Josefina's Posts Section) them by picking your favorite out of the two options. On Thursday, the day after I post the questions, I will answer them. I hope that you enjoy!!!!!
P.S. This will begin next week.

Doll Hair Styles No. 2
Here is how to do a side braid.
I hope you like it!!!!!!
- Brush the dolls hair and gently begin to pull to the side.
- Keep doing this until you are happy with the position.
- Braid the hair, but end short so that areas that are pulled from the other side stay in.
- Tie it off.
I hope you like it!!!!!!
Status Saturday: Coming Soon
I have a question for you. I know that lots of people have days such as " From a Friend Friday", were on every Friday, they post other people's pictures. I was thinking about having a "Status Saturday". Every Saturday, I will post my dolls' statuses. If you would like to see a sample, I did this once before, and copied it below.

Doll Hair Styles No. 1
If you have seen my last post, you have seen that I have told you how to care for doll hair. I also want to give a list of style ideas, and this is number 1. This is a simple ponytail flip.
First, brush your doll's hair out and put it in a low ponytail. Tie it off.
Next, push down the hair tie a little. Try splitting the hair into two sections at the top above the ponytail, creating a circle.
Lastly, flip the ends through the circle. Brush the bottom part.
I hope that you like this hair style. I use it when I need my doll's hair to look nice, but I'm short on time.

Doll hair stories- Is this for you?
I have fixed problems with my doll's hair, and found many ways that I can prevent them. This post is my list of preventing powers. Here goes nothing!!!!!!!!
- Never wash doll hair. Only wash your doll's hair when something is in it. Washing hair makes hair dry and weak.
- Downy Bush. Place a little bit of Downy Fabric Softener in your water that's in your spay bottle. Use this spray bottle about once a week to keep hair soft and smooth.
Doll Stauses
You guys often hear from my perspective of my doll, so I decided to do a doll status post. Here they are!!!!!

Cute doll finds!!!!!
Recently, I went to a Target and guess what I found in the dollar section? A DOLL SIZED LAUNDRY BASKET AND A MAILBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so awesome!!! And for only one dollar, I couldn't pass them up. They came in loads of colors to fit any doll's wants! You should go check it out!
Saige Craft
I've realized that I have done ten posts since I last put a craft, so I chose to make a Saige craft!!!!!!! Here is how to make a paint pallet!
You'll need
First, print the template thing from the "Printables" section. Trace it on to thin cardboard. Then cut it out. If only one of the sides aren't brown, the face the colored side up. If both are colored, color one side brown. If both are brown, then don't worry. Glue the printable down. Hole-punch the area where you would hold it. If you want, you may add puffy paint to the colored areas.

Bursting with news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of you guys have probably heard that Saige, the new Girl of the Year came out. BUT I GOT TO GO TO THE STORE TO SEE HER!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I got another new doll!!!!! This time, I'll just tell you. I GOT SAIGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is a review of her that I wrote.
"Hair- Very nice color and it is silky, but it's falling out of the twist very quickly.
Eyes- Her eyes are a beautiful, bright blue. They match her dress very well.
Face- Her freckles are super cute and her mold is very pretty. In my opinion, her lips are too red.
Dress and underwear- Her dress is beautiful. It has a gorgeous belt and the layers are very cute. It goes down to her knees. Her underwear don't have her symbol, as most underwear do. They are a neon blue.
Boots- Her boots are adorable!!!!! I love the layers. They are probably the strongest reason that I got this doll.
Earrings- They are her symbol in a silver shade. They don't fall out.
Ring- Her ring is a beautiful aqua color. It stays on well and is surprisingly easy to get on and off."
I hope you like it! I'll post pictures soon!
P.S. UPDATE ON HOLLAND'S MEET MY DOLLS PHOTO! When I went to American Girl, they where all out of Holland's glasses, so I'm not going to make everyone wait, I'm adding a picture now, but I will change it when she gets her glasses.

Holland went bike riding!!!!!
Today, my mom took us for a bike ride, and Holland came along! I managed to take this photo in between photos of me!!!! I hope that you like it!!!
P.S. I couldn't find her helmet, but besides that, she and I always wear helmets.
P.S. I couldn't find her helmet, but besides that, she and I always wear helmets.
I got....
My American Girl #24!!!!! Only, she is a one of a kind!!!! Her hair is an inch shorter and she has a hint of green in her eyes. She came in the pink My American Girl outfit, I just go this outfit too, and that's what she is wearing in the picture. She wears chocolate glasses, but I took them off for this picture, and shortly after, they fell and broke. I am getting new ones in 2 days, though. I will put her in the meet my dolls as soon as I get the glasses. Her name is Holland. I'm still deciding her middle name, and she is a My American Girl, so she has my last name. I love her!!!!!!
I GOT THE SAIGE CATALOG!!!!!!
So, I think you know that I got the Saige catalog. I love Saige now, and plan to get her in March. I will give a review then. But for now, read the post above!!!!
Oh! Can't wait!!!!
Okay, I can't wait for a few things! Here is a list because there are to many to just say!
- Saige!!!!!!!! I can't wait until January first, when she comes out!!!!!!! My parents say that we can go to the closest store, and if you guys didn't already know, when any GOTY comes out, American Girl gives a free small thing away to any girl who walks in the door!!!! Also, the first 50 people (want to be in that!) in the store get a free goody bag!!!! I'm just so excited!!!!!!!
- My Christmas doll! I'm very anxious to release who I got, so guesses or not, I will give pictures and a craft tomorrow. I can't put one in the "meet my dolls" yet because my doll's glasses broke today, and the only pictures I have are of her in the wrong outfit. Though on my next AG trip, I'll return the glasses and get new ones and take pictures then.
- $$$$! I hope not to sound greedy, but I got a good deal of money for Christmas, and I'm spending most of it on AG!!! I will post what I get when I get it, but until then, not even the "My AG Wishlist" will give clues!
Bored!!!!
Right now, I am very bored so I will post a post of things to do with your doll when you are bored! Here is a list.
I hope that you like my little boredom tricks! I just got rid of my boredom by writing this!
- Plan a party I love this way. I often think of crazy things such as a birthday party.....fair style! When I had the fair party, I did crazy hair styles on my dolls and put them in crazy mis-matched outfits! It was really fun and it took my boredom away!!!!
- Try a hairstyle You don't have to do crazy hair to break boredom, you can just do any style on your doll's hair! About a week ago, I did this crazy(yet pretty), hair style on McKenna. It was two thick side braids pulled into a ponytail flip. It was really pretty!
- Play a hand game Okay, this is a little funny, but on a long rode trip, I couldn't get out of my seat to play, so I played a hand game with McKenna! I put her hands up, and when I moved mine the way that you would do it with a person, I moved her hands and she did what another human would! I love this trick and use it a lot when I can't move around or have just a little time.
I hope that you like my little boredom tricks! I just got rid of my boredom by writing this!

Crafts, anyone?
So I have been thinking about how I always am doing crafts, but I only put certain crafts up. I decided that from now on, if someone comments and says a craft that they would like me to post, I'll find time for one craft a week. If I don't know how to make it, I might take a little longer for me to post due to me trying to find a way. (I enjoy watching YouTube videos, but I will not give you a craft that I have not figured out how to do myself because this blog is for my work and ideas, not someone else's.) I hope to get lots of crafts!

Extra Christmas Craft
You may see Advent calenders in stores and maybe even use them just to count down the days! (They are thin boxes with small doors and tiny compartments inside. They usually have chocolates or other small treats inside.) But here is how to make one for your dolls!
You'll need:
First, you'll need to trace lines on your cardboard measuring 2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. Then cut it out. Use this as a stencil and trace it on to your Christmas paper or construction paper and white paper. Then, glue the white paper down. This advent calendar is only going to have 4 doors, one for each Sunday in December. To make the doors, use the Christmas paper or construction paper. First you'll need to fold the paper in half. Then take each half and fold it in to the middle crease. This should create four little sections. Then, bend an area in half and take the scissors and cut a small slit. Then unfold it and slip the scissors through the slit and make a box without the left edge. Then repeat with all 4 sections. To attach it to the rest of the calendar, put glue around the edges of the big rectangle. Once it dries, take your pen and write a 1,2,3, and 4 on the outside of the box. The numbers don't have to be in order. Inside the box, draw a star, heart, tree or any other symbols. I hope that your dolls enjoy!

Doll Item Finders!
I know how expensive American Girl items can get, so I started finding ways to get my dolls items cheaper. I decided to give you my list so that your dolls can have the same cool items as mine. Here it goes!
1. Crafting
I like the crafting because I love to craft! You can find a lot of crafts on this very blog!
2. Goody Bags
This is probably my favorite way because it's always a surprise what you get. My favorite find out of goody bags were from a boy's goody bag! (It was a girl birthday party, but they made special goody bags for the boys and I ended up with one!) They had a doll sized Cars 2 rubiks cube and a doll sized magnifying glass. They are so cute and I use them a lot. Birthday parties are great for finding doll things!
3. Other Doll Brands
Lots of companies know how popular American Girl is and want to share in the money. So they make their own doll brands. Usually their stuff is much cheaper. For example, when we went to our Hobby Lobby, (a store similar to Michael's the craft store) they had their own doll brand, and I got a cute gardening hat for Josefina for $1.30 and a witch hat for $1.20! Deals get really good!
4. American Girl Sales
I know, it's still American Girl, and you have to get it online, so you have to pay shipping (not always! Sometimes, in store, if you spend a certain amount of money you can get a retired outfit for like $10-$20!) but the deals get really good! Like once, I got the 1rst JLY outfit for I think, $13!
So that's my list! I congratulate you if you read the whole thing! I hope that I gave you some good ideas for the whole year and for Christmas presents for friends and your dolls!

Early Christmas Craft No. 2
If you read my "Candy Cane Craft" post, you heard about my idea. This week I'm doing it a week early. It's because I'm so excited! Now ready to make a cake mix for your doll?
You'll need
First you'll need to cover the box in duct tape using strips and bending over extras. Then place the sticker on the front of the box, in the middle, but a tad bit closer to the bottom. Lastly, write one of these sayings above the cake. "Cake Mix", "Yummy Cake", "Holiday Mix" And you're done! I hope that your dolls can make a lovely holiday treat using this!
You'll need
- A small box (I used a mini raisin box, I also believe that you could make a box by tracing an eraser, and making a cover for it)
- White, brown, or polka dotted duct tape (I also have some cute reindeer tape, so if you had something like that it would work too)
- A sharpie
- Scissors
- A cake sticker (such as the one from doll crafts) or a mini cake print-out and glue

Name Debate!
Okay everyone! I have a problem! So if you knew about Holland Emily, I'm still getting her. But I can't see her being named that too easily. So now I think I might call her Brittain Emilia, but I can't decide. If you would like to make my day, please comment and say which doll name you would prefer. Thanks!
Candy Cane Craft
So with Christmas being 4 weeks away, I decided to make a craft each Sunday so that your doll(s) can prepare for Christmas. Today's Craft is a candy cane. They're really fun and easy to make!
You'll need:
First, twist the two pipe cleaners together. Then cut a piece of the twisted pipe cleaners about the size of your doll's foot. Then bend the top like a candy cane. And you're done! Wasn't that so simple.
You'll need:
- 2 colors of pipe cleaner
- Scissors

Thanksgiving Prep Craft 1
Hey everyone! Because there are only a few more days until Thanksgiving, I decided that I'd post a craft everyday 'til. Today's craft is how to make a cute doll sized leaf. I think that they're great to tape onto the back of chairs at a table or under a plate. You could also write names on them as place cards. But here is how you do it.
You'll need
First you'll need to print out the leaf. Cut it out about 4 centimeters around the edge.Trace the leaf onto the construction paper. Cut out the construction paper. Cut an inch thick strip of construction paper. Then, fold the strip like a mini fan. Glue one of the edges to the construction paper leaf. If you want, now is when you write a name on the leaf. Cut off the extra white paper. Glue the other part of the fan to the back of the leaf. Now you have a pop-up leaf! You could duplicate them for each doll if you'd like. Now you can tape them to the back of doll chairs. Happy Thanksgiving!
*Go up to the top of the page and click on "more". Then click on "Leaf" for print out.*
You'll need
- the print out
- Scissors
- yellow/orange construction paper
- other color marker (if you used yellow construction paper, you should use an orange marker)
- glue
- optional, black marker to write names
- optional, tape

Halloween Costume No. 2
Here is my second Halloween costume!!! This is how to make an '80's girl!!! It works great!!! It's what McKenna is being this year!!!!!
You'll need
First dress your doll in her shirt and her tights, socks, leggings, or leg warmers. Then layer her shorts or skirt on top. Now,put on her shoes.(If you use tights or socks, carefully put the shoes on over them) Now for the hair. For dolls with long hair, (excluding Julie or any other doll who's hair doesn't go into high ponytails or to the side) brush it out and gather it into a high side ponytail. If you'd like, you could braid a small section of the ponytail by tying most of the hair off, leaving a small enough strand about the size to make a braid like Julie's. Braid it and then slip it in the ponytail holder WITHOUT tying off the bottom. If you don't want to add the braid, just tie it off. Then add the bows in random places on your doll's head. If your doll has short hair, take the front piece and pull it up. Tie it off with the ponytail holder. Then add the bows around the ponytail holder.
I hope your doll likes her new Halloween costume!!! I know that McKenna is very happy with hers!
You'll need
- Any color long sleeve doll shirt
- Any color shorts/skirt
- Any color tights, socks, leggings, or leg warmers (such as the ones in the new roller skating outfit)
- Any type of sandals or flip flops (I find that if you are using tights or socks you should use sandals with an open ending and no toe spot such as Julie's meet shoes or ones from her patchwork outfit)
- A hair tie
- 3+ bows of mismatched colors and styles (They can be some of your bows, they don't have to be doll sized)
- A doll brush
First dress your doll in her shirt and her tights, socks, leggings, or leg warmers. Then layer her shorts or skirt on top. Now,put on her shoes.(If you use tights or socks, carefully put the shoes on over them) Now for the hair. Halloween Costume No. 1
Now that it's October, I am going to start posting Halloween costume instructions. This first one is going to be how to make a diva/movie star.
You'll need
First, cut off the foot of the sock or the knee down on your legging. Then, snip the sides of the dress in spots for your doll's arms (or you could just cut it shorter and use wet glue to make a ribbon halter). Then take the ribbon and make a belt. Attach it to the dress with wet glue. Slip it over your doll's head. Last, make bracelets by using a glue stick to close ribbon around your doll's wrist. If you do that, they must be cut to be removed. If you use Velcro, make sure to cut it to fit on the ribbon. Also, you can scroll down and use the instructions for a trophy to make an Emmy Award.
You'll need
- A knee-high sparkly sock or an old pair of sparkly leggings
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Glue Stick/Velcro sticky things

Trophy Craft
I thought that my McKenna doll needed a gymnastics trophy, so I am going to make one. If your dolls play any sports or do an activity that a trophy should be given to them for, you might want to make one for them!!! :-)
You'll need
First, trace the water bottle 2 times onto the darker piece of craft foam. Glue together. You won't need much glue. Then measure half a cm. of the toothpick, keeping the tip, but not counting it while measuring. Cut off the section. Poke the toothpick into the craft foam circle. If needed, put a dot of glue in. Then draw a star about the size of your palm on the other color of craft foam. (It's alright if there are lines through it. They won't show.) Cut it out. Trace that star on the same color. Cut that out. Line them up. Take the base and put the toothpick against one star. (make sure that the lines face in) Glue in place. Drizzle the other star with glue and press up to the other star and toothpick. Hold together for 30 seconds. Lay down and let dry for 1 hour. Then put on your sticker or print-out. If you want, you can write your doll's name on the front part of the base.
I hope that you doll treasures her trophy!!! McKenna did!!!!
You'll need
- A water bottle
- A pen
- 2 colors of craft foam
- A sticker related to your dolls activity (if you can't find any stickers, you can print out a picture and glue it on)
- Liquid glue
- Scissors
- A toothpick
- A ruler

Exclusive Caroline Craft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I mean by exclusive is that this craft will NOT appear in the "Crafts" section and that I will delete this post two weeks after she is sold in stores. But anyway, lets get started on making a framed wall picture!!!!!!
You'll need
It may seem like a lot but this is a pretty easy craft.
You'll need
- The boat print-out
- Any color craft foam (brown or gold are best for the time period though)
- A pencil
- Scissors
- Stickers (if want it to be more modern)
- Tape
- A toothpick
- A ruler
It may seem like a lot but this is a pretty easy craft.
First print out the boat by clicking here. (you may need to ask your parents if you can) Cut it out leaving a space around it for the frame. Trace it on the craft foam. Measure half an inch in each direction away from the center of the tracing. Cut out the frame. If you would like, take the toothpick and add a design. If you want it to be a bit more modern, you can add stickers. After you decorate the frame, place the photo behind it. Make sure that it is centered!:-) Tape the picture in place. I hope your dolls like the photo.
P.S. Hang it in your dolls area by rolling tape to make it double-sided. Stick on the back of the frame and press against surface.
More Fun Caroline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Above are some more pictures of the REAL CAROLINE!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't she sooooo cute in her outfits!!!!! I think that I'm going to get the pink one!!!!!!!

I hope your dolls like her new necklace!!! Mine boy did!!!
Headband Craft
This is how to make a cute doll headband!!!!!!!!
You'll need
1. Any Rubber band
2. Some small stickers
3. Paper
4. Sicciors
5. Tape
6. Pen/ Pencil
First you need to choose a small sticker and set it down on the paper upside-down. Trace the sticker, but a little bit outside of it. Cut out the shape. Then take the rubber band and place the sticker on it. On the other side of the rubber band, press down the paper cut-out. Press both together. If the sticker falls off, take a small piece of tape and roll it so that it's double sided. Put it on the paper and then press against the rubber band. Cut off extra tape. I hope your dolls like their new headband!!!
